About The Nursery
Nursery Philosophy

Here at Badgers our philosophy towards day care is centered on the principal that each child is an individual, who brings to Nursery unique life experiences that have shaped the child into the person she/he is.

The nursery role is to provide an environment for the child that is welcoming, safe, stimulating and challenging. We provide for children`s social, emotional, physical and moral development to enable them to grow and develop to their full potential. We strive to create an atmosphere of working in partnership with parents and carers so that the children are happy to attend nursery and you feel confident about leaving your child in our care.

The Staff

The Nursery Staff work together to provide the very best in childcare. A majority of the staff hold childcare qualifications, whilst the others are working towards attaining their qualifications. A complete list of staff members, their relevant qualifications and any special areas of responsibility can be found in our handbook.

Nursery Registration and Inspection

The Nursery is registered under the Childrens Act 1989 and the Ofsted Childcare Standards 2000. We are also registered to accept the “EYEE” Early Years Educational Entitlement.

Parking and Dropping Off

We have a large Car Park available for you, please ensure you drive slowly and carefully and respect others and have an awareness of children and safety.

Badger Library Books

We have a lovely selection of books which are kept in the book corner. We encourage your child to select a book to take home and share with you regularly. This helps to foster enjoyment and appreciation of books and develops your child`s concentration as well as language and literacy skills We loan each child a book bag, which ensures books remain in good condition. Unfortunately books or book wallets which are unreasonably damaged or lost must be paid for.
